Krivenkovskoe quarry
The site located on a kind of "junction" of Jurassic and Cretaceous formations. The complex of these deposits extends, according to the general picture of the dislocation of sedimentary rocks of the Northwest Caucasus, from the south-east to north-west.
Getting a detailed study of sediment in the Basin of Tuapse River began in the 30s of the last century (Belousov and Troshikhin, 1937, 1939; Vyalov 1931, 1934; Kozlov, 1935; Robinson, 1932). Later, the scheme of stratigraphic subdivision of this area was developed (Hain .. In 1960, M .. Lomize 1961: KO Rostovtsev and GP Kornev, 1963; VI Slavin, 1957, 1958).

In the valley of the river Tuapse rises the picturesque mountain Neveb. From its top one can see a magnificent panorama of the northwestern spurs of the Great Caucasus that holds in its bosom many rich and mysterious resources left from the earth's geological past.
